International Yoga Day 2026 celebrated at Tapobhoomi

Kundaim: Yog is the science gifted by the revered Indian Rishis and Munis. The entire universe is connected with Yoga. The aspiration of our sages has always been that everyone should attain a healthy and disease-free life. The Gurupeeths and universities of India have continuously worked to spread the knowledge of Yog among people. Following this ancient tradition, the visionary and ascetic Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, presented the Indian science of Yog on the platform of the United Nations, where more than 177 countries supported and accepted this ancient wisdom. Today, the 12th International Yog Day is being celebrated across the world, which is a matter of pride for Bharat and the timeless knowledge of our Rishis and Munis, said Adhyatma Shiromani, Padma Shri awardee Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji.

The grand celebration of the 12th International Yog Day was organized at Shree Kshetra Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth, Kundaim, in the divine presence of Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, on the occasion of the Gurupeetharohan Silver Jubilee Year celebrations. The event was jointly organized by Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth and Sadguru Yoga Gurukul, with the collaboration of International Sadguru Gurukulam, Sadguru Dnyanpeeth, Swami Brahmanand Vedic Gurukul & Research Institute, and Swami Brahmanand Mahavidyalaya. Swamiji was addressing the gathering on this occasion.

Further speaking, Pujya Swamiji said that Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant is making significant efforts to establish this ancient Indian science of Yoga in Goa. Spirituality is not limited to any one religion; it exists in all traditions. The Goa Chief Minister is working towards promoting the spiritual heritage of Goa. The Goa Government has issued directives to celebrate Yog Day in all government offices, schools, colleges, and across all sections of society, due to which Yog Day was celebrated at numerous locations today.

Pujya Swamiji further suggested that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant should initiate a discussion on Yoga in the Goa Legislative Assembly and declare Goa as a “Yog State” so that Goa, the land of Yogis, the land of Lord Parashuram, Tapobhoomi, and the sacred land of Gau Mata, gains recognition as the Yoga Land of India. He expressed that in the coming decades and centuries, Goa should regain its glorious heritage, where Yoga practices begin across beaches, temples, monasteries, offices, schools, and colleges. To enhance the identity and character of Goa, it should be declared as a “Yog State,” he said.

Through Tapobhoomi, Yog Day was celebrated at various locations across Goa, including Goa Lok Bhavan, Police Stations, Ponda Municipal Council, Konkan Railway – Madgaon, various temples, railway stations, airports, auditoriums, schools, colleges, police stations, government offices, and many other places.

Various organizations actively participated in this grand initiative, including Satguru Foundation, Sadguru Youth Federation, Jagat Janani, Swami Sadanand Ayurveda Dham, International Sadguru Foundation, Swami Brahmanand Mahavidyalaya, International Sadguru Gurukulam, Sadguru Dnyanpeeth, and others.

The dignitaries present on the dais included Adv. Brahmideviji – President, Sadguru Yoga Gurukul and Satguru Foundation; Gajendra Verlekar – HR, Zydus Lifescience Goa; Sanjay Amonkar – Director General, Goa Chamber of Commerce; Deepak Parab – Goa State Science Council; Sagar Govekar – Managing Director, Ethernet Express; Nilesh Churi – Churi Industries, Goa; Uday Sardessai – Proprietor, Ashutosh Industries; Ashutosh Sardessai – Manager, Ashutosh Industries, along with officials of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth, principals of schools and institutions, teachers, students, and staff members.

Under the guidance of Yog Acharya Vishal Mhalkar, Yoga demonstrations were conducted, followed by Pujya Swamiji’s address and the Shanti Path, marking the conclusion of the program.

3rd International Summit of Religious Leaders in Malaysia

MALAYSIA: Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, the renowned spiritual leader from Goa, represented Bharat at the 3rd International Summit of Religious Leaders 2026 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The prestigious international gathering brought together eminent religious leaders, scholars, policymakers, and dignitaries from across the world to deliberate on the shared values of unity, harmony, mutual respect, and global peace.

Addressing the distinguished assembly, Swamiji shared the timeless wisdom of spirituality, emphasizing the principles of peace, compassion, conflict resolution, and harmonious coexistence. His inspiring address highlighted the need for greater interfaith understanding, human unity, and collective responsibility in addressing contemporary global challenges and building a more peaceful and inclusive world.

Swamiji’s message of compassion, mutual respect, and universal brotherhood resonated deeply with religious leaders and delegates representing diverse faith traditions and cultural backgrounds. Drawing upon India’s ancient spiritual heritage, he underscored the enduring relevance of spiritual values in fostering dialogue, understanding, and lasting peace among nations and communities.

Swamiji’s participation reaffirmed India’s rich spiritual heritage and its timeless message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — “The World is One Family.” His presence at this important international forum reflected Bharat’s continuing contribution to promoting global harmony, interfaith cooperation, and peaceful coexistence among all people.

The summit concluded with a collective call for stronger collaboration among religious communities, governments, educational institutions, and civil society organizations to advance peace, mutual respect, social harmony, and sustainable development across the world.

Goa Swami Receives the Bharat Gaurav at Melbourne’s Parliament, Australia

Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Bharat Gaurav Award’ at the Parliament of Victoria, Melbourne – Australia, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to spirituality, the revival of Vedic and Sanskrit traditions, and the preservation and promotion of Sanatan Dharma.

During visit to Australia, Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji was warmly welcomed by Hon. Chris Bowen, Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy, at Parliament House, Sydney – Australia.

The meeting featured meaningful discussions on strengthening India–Australia relations, advancing sustainable development, promoting renewable energy, and exploring future green energy initiatives. Pujya Swamiji shared the timeless wisdom of spirituality, peace, and Sanatan values, highlighting the principles of harmony with nature, environmental responsibility, and the collective duty to safeguard our planet for future generations.

Napier Grass Cultivation Campaign at Tapobhoomi

An initiative under the Khet Bachao Andolan and Natural Farming Conservation.

Kundaim: On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee year of the Peetharohan (ascension to the spiritual seat) of Peethadhishwar Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth, the Napier Grass Cultivation Campaign was launched at Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth. This initiative was organized jointly by the Sadguru Foundation and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) – Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), Goa.

The program was organized in collaboration with the Government of Goa under the ‘Khet Bachao Andolan’ (Save Farming Movement) and Natural Farming Conservation initiative, which is being implemented under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Hon. Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The primary objective of this campaign is to promote natural farming in Goa, boost the cow protection (Goraksha) movement, conserve the Indian Rishi-Krishi (sage-agriculture) tradition, and propagate sustainable agricultural practices. Over the next year, this campaign will be implemented across a total of 200 acres of land at various locations in Goa.

The initiative was inaugurated by the Director of ICAR-CCARI, Dr. Parveen Kumar. On this occasion, he highlighted the importance of natural farming, animal husbandry, and fodder management, emphasizing that such initiatives are essential for sustainable agricultural development.

The President of the Sadguru Foundation, Adv. Brahmideviji, elaborated on the significance of cow conservation, environmental protection, and agricultural traditions in Indian culture. She appealed to society to embrace natural farming to build a healthy and prosperous environment for future generations.
