If Sanatan culture is preserved, a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be born in every household

Belagavi: Looking at the culture of our country India, one realizes that saints like Gadge Baba changed the very face of the nation. Though he had no formal education, he was a saint who inspired others toward education and cleanliness, bringing about a true revolution in the country. At a young age, Sant Dnyaneshwar contemplated the welfare of the entire universe; such diverse saints have left their glorious imprint through their works in this land. India is a country of saints, sages, and seers. If we preserve our Sanatan culture, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be born in every single household, stated Padmashree Awardee, Adhyatma Shiromani Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, Peethadhishwar of Sri Datta Padmanabh Peeth.

A grand spiritual event titled “Guruḥ Sākṣāt Parabrahma” was organized by Sri Datta Padmanabh Peeth, Belagavi – Karnataka, on Sunday the 18th at the Maratha Mandir Cultural Hall in Belagavi, marking the Silver Jubilee Year of Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji’s ascension to the Gurupeeth. Pujya Swamiji was addressing the gathering on this occasion.

Further elaborating, Pujya Swamiji said that today people possess degrees and worldly success, but lack values (sanskar). We have firmly fixed in our minds that wearing fine clothes, expensive jewelry, and earning abundant wealth is everything. However, our culture teaches us that wearing ornaments on one’s hands is not true adornment; rather, charity (giving) is the true ornament of the hands. If we are Hindus, scriptures should reach our ears every day. We must not abandon our culture even if we lose our lives, for only then will this Mother India bestow her blessings upon us, Pujya Swamiji urged.

While Sri Datta Padmanabh Peeth carries out exemplary work across diverse fields—religious, spiritual, educational, social, and cultural—through the core formula of God, Nation, and Dharma, the primary objective of this ceremony was to propagate the glory of the Guru element, nurture Indian culture, foster spiritual values, and spread value-based thoughts in society under the vision of the Spiritual Festival 20250: From Self-Knowledge to Universal Welfare. Additionally, the Tapobhoomi Calendar 2027 Karnataka Edition was unveiled during the event.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shripad Naik; Mayor of Belagavi, Preeti Vinayak Kamkar; Chairperson of Satguru Foundation, Adv. Brahmi Deviji; Former MLA, Adv. Anil Benake; Entrepreneur Vinay Balikai; social activist Dhananjay Jadhav; and President of the Sri Datta Padmanabh Peeth Saint Society, Ramchandra Naik, among other dignitaries.

This festival turned out to be a momentous occasion for disciples, devotees, righteousness-loving citizens, and community members from Belagavi, Khanapur, Nipani, Chikkodi, as well as Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. The anchoring of the event was conducted by Deepak Gawas.

The work of Sri Datta Padmanabh Peeth is not merely confined to spiritual tradition; it is a movement dedicated to God, Nation, and Dharma. The Peeth has consistently worked toward propagating true knowledge, nurturing devotion, and providing society with a direction rooted in moral values. Under Pujya Swamiji’s divine guidance, Tapobhoomi in Goa has become a beautiful confluence of spirituality, culture, and education. Alongside spiritual practices, the initiatives undertaken by the Peeth for the educational and cultural upliftment of society are truly inspiring. Especially through initiatives like Vedic education, Sanskrit, the promotion of the Gurukul system, female priests, Vedic scholars, and Vedic maidens, the work of securing a position of honor for women in the Vedic tradition is immensely significant, stated Union Minister of State Shripad Naik.
