Protecting Temples and Religious Traditions is the Responsibility of Every Hindu: Brahmeshanand Swamiji

Saints and sages, whether in India or other countries, have always thought exclusively for the welfare of society, which is why there is immense respect for saints in society. Sanatan Dharma considers everyone equally. Just as the sun provides light equally to all without any discrimination based on caste, creed, rich, poor, high, or low, God’s blessings are received equally by everyone. Programs should be held in temples where thoughts of God are shared, and such thoughts bring stability to society’s intellect. Do not organize programs in temples that lead society toward degeneration. Make efforts to ensure that the younger generation does not fall into bad addictions. Acquire the best of education, but never forget your God and your parents—expressed Padmashri awardee Adhyatma Shiromani Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, Peethadhishwar of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth.

Under the Silver Jubilee year of Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji’s accession to the Peetha, a grand spiritual event titled “Hi Sadguru Krupa” was organized on Sunday, the 1st, at the Shree Sateri Sansthan, Siolim, jointly by the Sant Samaj – Siolim Danda & Rai Oshel operating under Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth. Pujya Swamiji was addressing the gathering on this occasion.

Further speaking, Pujya Swamiji said, “Teach your children from a young age never to do any wrong deed that would bring disgrace to their parents’ character, and children must not behave in a manner that brings disrepute to the deities residing in temples, by whose blessings we all live. Protecting temples and religious traditions is the responsibility of every Hindu. God and Dharma must be supreme. Every mother should wish within herself that the child born from her womb never walks the path of evil—only then does she become a true mother.” Such inspiring guidance was also given by Pujya Swamiji.

While Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth continues to carry out divine work across various fields—religious, spiritual, educational, social, and cultural—through the core formula of Dev, Desh, and Dharma (God, Nation, and Religion), the principal objective of this celebration under the concept of “Spiritual Parva 2025: From Self-Knowledge to Universal Welfare” was to glorify the Guru Tattva, promote Indian culture, nurture spiritual values, and spread virtuous thoughts in society. On this occasion, various temples in the Siolim region were also honored as “Divya Devasthan Gaurav” at the auspicious hands of Pujya Swamiji.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, Sadguru Foundation President Adv. Brahmideviji, Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth Sant Samaj Organization President Ramchandra Naik, District Panchayat Member Maheshwar Govekar, Sarpanches, representatives of various temples, and other dignitaries.

The event was compered by Ve. Mu. Anup Ji Shelar and Neelima Mandrekar.
